About the Artist
Raphael Leiblum is a self-taught artist who provides commercial art services up and down the Suncoast.
He is answering a passionate calling to paint murals. Interior or exterior, traditional or modern, large or small. In addition to murals, he skillfully paints signage and logos, hand-crafted window ads, and other lettering. Raphael is savvy with illustration, photography, graphic design, and contemporary painting as well. He has experience with merchandising and navigating overseas manufacturers, especially within the world of lapel pins, with over seventy different pieces designed, produced, and distributed.
Originally from Massachusetts, he attended Roger Williams University in Rhode Island where he was an NCAA Student Athlete. The next five years he worked with challenging youth in nontraditional school settings. After rambling west to Sacramento, Raphael took the plunge into art as a career. Soon drawn by the pull of the ocean, he moved to Arcata on the north coast of California in Humboldt County. Following seven years of embracing the cool Pacific Northwest weather, he wandered back to Sacramento in pursuit of sunshine and the grander opportunities of a metropolitan area. After jotting across the country to be closer to family, Raphael found himself feeling at home in beautiful Saint Petersburg, Florida. He's also back to his roots of offering artistic advertising options for businesses. Murals, signage, logo painting, and much more.
He has a deep reverence for life on the water, the mystical and unexplained, and escapism through nature.
